Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key. 2 Emacs Commands The 'mac' in 'emacs' came from the word 'macros. First I will list some commands and then I will explain where they can be used. In emacs, C-c C-y will yank the previous command. The recommended version on macOS is Emacs Mac Port, but others are good as well.

I feel very sorry for you’re emacser on mac and haven’t got anything in ~/Library/KeyBindings/
Crash course:
- Get this file: Emacs Opt Bindings.dict
- Edit it (optionally), — it’s self-explainary. Then save (creating the directory if there isn’t one) as ~/Library/KeyBindings/DefaultKeyBinding.dict
- ..
- PROFIT! Enjoy, for example your ⌥F doing forward-word. Unlock android phone from computer. Everywhere. Well, mostly.
Applications will pick this up after restaring (apps, not computer).
